Self-ligating braces, or braces with self-closing locks, are braces which do not used ligatures (rubber pieces securing the wire to the lock).
The locks of these kinds of braces are equipped with an advanced latch mechanism which keeps the arch in the right spot of the lock, in the slot.
This solution makes the arch freely move in the lock. Eliminating the ligatures reduces friction to the minimum, which in most cases also reduces the time required to wear the braces.
Treatment with this kind of braces provides a much higher level of user comfort. Check-up visits are less frequent, on average every 8-10 weeks.
We offer these braces both with metal and cosmetic locks.
